The “America’s Got Talent” results show Wednesday night was by and large a predictable affair — though at the same time, it was a sad one.
While you can make a case for all of these acts below to be in the finals, there is one tragedy — Landon Swank. Thanks to a lack of instant replay Tuesday night, it was not obvious on the show that the magician’s trick involving a fish actually worked. Since nobody saw the fish in the tank, it may have hurt is voting. (Why didn’t the show catch it?)
Anyway, here are the four acts who made it through:
Team iLuminate – Everyone expected this. “AGT” has promoted them heavily all season, and give them some coveted slots during their shows. It’s clear that they will almost surely be in the final two, even if they are not the winners.
POPLYFE – They are a talented band (and maybe the best ever on the show) — however, they had an incredibly overrated performance Tuesday night. If the camera had caught Landon’s fish, he would be here instead. (There was a 1% difference in the voting between the two.)
Silhouettes – This, like Team iLuminate, was also not a shocker. It’s a similar sort of act, but this group is fantastic at both moving audiences and celebrating America — and both of these are important to “AGT” voters.
Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. – We have a crooner in the final four! He has the “Susan Boyle story” of the season as a car washer with a spectacular voice, and he managed to give his best performance yet Tuesday night.
What do you think of the final four acts?
