‘Burn Notice’ season 7, episode 4 review: Did someone die a hero?

Burn NoticeFor the first three episodes of “Burn Notice’s” final season, we were really okay with sitting around and waiting to see what was going to unfold when it came to Michael and Fiona. Now that we were into Thursday’s brand new episode, this was around the time where we actually wanted to start to see these two characters take a step in a more romantic direction.

There was a big problem with this little pipe-dream theory of ours, though, and it was simply that the two characters are still in separate stinkin’ cities. For Michael Westen, he found himself in yet another dangerous position after a capture mission went completely haywire, and he was forced into trusting a guy in Burke who does not have that much of a reputation of being a knight in shining armor.

As it turns out, Adrian Pasdar’s character was really more than that; he was a martyr, willing to take his own life to protect a woman who he not only cared about, but who was set to be an important key to Michael’s future. Thanks to this sacrifice, Mike was able to escape with Sam and Jesse at his side.

While there was all of this action happening in the Caribbean this week, Fiona teamed up with Madeline yet again to help a spy start over. A nice little side mission, and even a sweet one. But necessary? Well, we’ll let you be the judge of that. Burke’s death was the big moment to close this episode, and hopefully this will get the ball rolling now. Just when it looked like Michael and his team were heading back to Miami, they now have to trek around looking for the same woman they just saved (and the same woman that knocked Jesse on the head).

Do you like the direction of “Burn Notice,” or are you starting to feel a little burnt out by the focus away from Miami, and from Michael and Fiona together? We got some more scoop on the couple’s future, so if you want to check that out, our advice is to head on over to the link here.
