Tuesday night marked the finals for “America’s Got Talent,” so it was sad in a way that a number of acts (Lys Agnes, Anna Graceman, West Springfield Dance, and the Smage Bros.) ended up being either the same or worse than what we saw in the past.
However, there were still a pair of acts that really managed to raise their game.
Landau Eugene Murphy Jr.
After an off week last time with a song that wasn’t exactly memorable, Landau was back in full force this time with a Dean Martin classic. His voice was absolutely flawless, and it was one of the few acts where literally everyone in the audience seemed to be having a fantastic time. With his fan base and his inspiring story, he looks to be a lock to make it to the grand finale next week.
This act has been the hands-on favorite for weeks now, so it is really no surprise to see them shine. While part of this act really did feel a little too much like Fighting Gravity this week (thanks to the puppeteer bit), the overall theme here was strong, the choreography slick, and there were a few genuine “wow” moments — including a twist at the end that we really didn’t see coming.
Who were your favorites from this week?
