‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6 spoilers: Creator Kurt Sutter on new casting, longer premiere

Sons of Anarchy“Sons of Anarchy” has cast someone new coming up for season 6, and it’s one that has us already scratching our heads contemplating who it could be. In the latest edition of Kurt Sutter’s “WTFSutter” video series (which you can subscribe to here), he gives a few hints as to who this man could be.

The first hint is that he is a man. As for the second, it’s a “tough guy” sort of performer who is a series regular on another show, meaning that they had to make sure that schedule-wise, all of the parts were able to fall neatly into place. He will be in at least one episode, but maybe more than that depending on how everything works out.

As for why he cannot disclose this man’s identity just yet, the simple answer here is that he wants to make sure that the actor has the opportunity to reveal it via some proper industry channels. This is the best way for stars to get their names out there, rather than Sutter coming out and scooping the news himself.

As for some other details from the video, Sutter confirms that the season premiere (entitled “Straw”) will run for an hour and a half, and the same could be true for a few other episodes coming up this season. One of the reasons why this continues to happen is because as the show progresses from one story to the next, the stories become richer. Therefore, it’s pretty hard to really get everything you want within a 60-minute span of time.

When it comes to the companion series that has been buzzed about as of late, Sutter didn’t reveal anything new, but we’re pretty confident that with the success of “The Talking Dead” (even when you consider that this is not a carbon-copy of the AMC talker), something will come of this in time.

Who do you think the mystery actor is? We want to hear your theories below! In case you missed out on the big news from late this week, be sure to visit the link here to see details on the upcoming “Sons of Anarchy” comic.
