Tonight’s episode of “The Bachelorette” promised drama and fireworks and it did not disappoint, so let’s get right to it.
Group date: First up was the group date and it was a game of dodge-ball, that didn’t seem all that friendly. We’re not really that keen on watching men beat on each other to win their woman’s heart, because to us brains wins over brawn every time, but to each their own. While Desiree says that she didn’t want any of the guys to get hurt (which is weird since it is dodge ball), Brooks broke his finger and was sent to the hospital. We thought she was going to spend a little more time with him while the medic helped, but she was back on the field cheering on the other men. We thought that she would have cancelled her group date to be with Brooks, but she moved forward with the other men. Brooks ends up making the group date before it ends and gets a little one on one time with Desiree (which includes a kiss.) With everything that Brooks went through we thought he’d get the rose, but Chris got it instead and they had some extra private time together (which included another kiss).
The cheater: Chris Harrison tells Desiree that Brian Jarosinski has a girlfriend back home, so she decides to go to the house and confront him. She pulls him aside and gives him a chance to be open with her, but he sweet talks her instead. Chris shows up with his girlfriend and blows his cover to pieces. Brian denies that this is his girlfriend and is adamant that they were on a break, but admits that they slept together a few days before he left for filming. Desiree tells Chris that Brian’s gotta go and he’s tossed from the competition.
One on one date: Kasey Stewart gets the date and they go on a date that involves them hanging by a harness and dancing in the air off a building. Is this romantic? Not really, but Jake and Vienna had a very similar date and the fear factor amped up the feelings. Did the same thing happen here? Kasey’s date couldn’t have gone worse. It was awkward right off the bat because of what happened with Brian, then a weird storm ruined their roof top dinner and the kiss was also strange, but she gave him the rose anyway.
Second group date: Desiree took the guys on a western themed date complete with costumes, a stage coach and a major plug for the film “The Lone Ranger”. This was yet another date where there was an emphasis on the physical as the guys got into staged fight and rode horses. This date was way more focused on “The Lone Ranger” then the date as every other word out of their mouth was the title of the film. Who came out victorious in the challenge? It was Juan Pablo and he got some extra alone time with her which was of course…. watching “The Lone Ranger”. Wondering if they kissed? They sure did. Desiree was handing out more kisses then roses this episode, and she ended up giving the group rose to James (and a kiss).
Cocktail party cancellation: Desiree decides to have a pool party instead of the normal cocktail party, but before going into the party, Ben grabs her and asks her to go for a short car ride together. When she gets back, and the guys see Ben in the car with her and they are upset. Ben lies to the guys about getting alone time with her and after confronting him Ben tells them that this was a secret between him and Desiree. Were there more kisses at the pool party? Of course, but also Brandon tells her that he’s falling in love with her. So who went home tonight? Dan and Brandon. Guess telling Desiree you love her too early gets you sent home.
What did you think of this episode of “The Bachelorette”? Do you think that Desiree is giving out the kisses a little too freely compared to bachelorette’s from past seasons? Leave us a comment and tell us who you think is going to win Desiree’s heart.
