She really did seem very keen to take it and Castle has more or less said that he would not stand in her way with that. Of course she would eventually be drawn back, maybe by a nefarious plot involving someone like Bracken, or possibly Castle being in some sort of danger, or maybe just that she realises the job is not what she wants in the long term.

With regard to the proposal, well I’m not going to speculate on that. Let’s just waot and see’
