While we do not know yet whether or not “The Client List” is going to be back for a third season just yet, there are certainly going to be some very significant changes to the show if it does get renewed and the production cycle stays fairly similar. In a statement to Us Weekly, the actress confirms that she and her co-star Brian Hallisay are expecting their first child together:
“We’re so thrilled and happy to start a family.”
While there is no confirmation on this, a sources claims that Hewitt is around three months along, which would put her due date in December.
Congratulations are definitely in order for Hewitt and Hallisay, but for those of you extremely curious as to what this means for the show, there are really a few different options if a renewal happens. The could either shift forward production in order to ensure that filming wraps before she gives birth (which would be hard to do at this point), film an abbreviated season 3 with a pregnant Jennifer (where they could choose to show or not show the pregnancy), or just delay production until next summer and put the show on hiatus. We’re probably speculating more than we really need to at the moment since there is no season 3 at this point, but it’s always interesting to think of the different options for a TV show when a pregnancy comes into play. Our favorite TV pregnancy was on “Mad Men” where January Jones’ pregnancy was hidden as a weight problem for Betty – completely brilliant.
Hewitt and her co-star first began dating around 15 months ago, and this is not the first TV project they appeared on together. The two first appeared on the short-lived NBC vignette series “Love Bites” several years ago, prior to the start of their relationship.
