Mrs. Carter: Big news for a “Vampire Diaries” relationship, but this time it’s happening in real life, so no supernatural beings involved (curses!)
We spend a good bit of time on this site speculating about the romantic future of all of these characters, and while we were busy getting caught up in all of the Tyler / Caroline / Klaus hoopla, Candice Accola was off getting engaged in real life. The actress confirmed the news with a series of posts on her Instagram page, where she showed off a very impressive ring that came from her now-fiance Joseph King who is all human and doesn’t secretly sport a pair of fangs.
In case you are wondering who in the world King is, he is the guitarist for the brand “The Fray”, who sing a hit that is very contradictory to just about everything vampires stand for in “How To Save a Life.” There is no wedding date announced for the couple just yet, which makes sense given that they are in the very early stages of an engagement. (Plus, they don’t want fans showing up at a possible venue screaming for her and Klaus to just hook up already.)
Accola and King should have a couple of months now to celebrate the engagement in peace, as season 5 of “The Vampire Diaries” will not shooting until this coming July. From here, the actress will instantly become much busier, as Caroline will possibly have an even larger role in the show with the departure of so many of “The Originals” to the show of the same name.
Accola’s co-star Nina Dobrev also celebrated the engagement by posting the following on her Twitter account:
“What colors are we thinking for the bridesmaids dresses? Because yellow isn’t a good color on me.”
Are you happy for Candice? Of course, we’ll have more details on the engagement as they become available. If you want to read some more news about what could be next for Caroline, all you have to do is head on over to the link here.
