‘America’s Got Talent’: Susan Boyle performs ‘You Have To Be There’

Susan performed on the show.

On Wednesday night, there were more highlights on “America’s Got Talent” than just the results — Susan Boyle also came on to perform her brand-new song “You Have To Be There.”

If you watched the performance, then you probably already know she tore the house down. The song was a bit faster-paced than either of her previous singles, and it had a commanding melody that showcased Susan’s voice perfectly. We also found out an album title courtesy of host Nick Cannon — “Someone to Watch Over Me” — and the release date of November 1, 2011.

This was the second time in three years that Susan ended up performing on the live results show — the last time this happened was two years ago, when the “Britain’s Got Talent” sensation ended up performing a cover of the Rolling Stones’ “Wild Horses,” which was her first announced single from “I Dreamed a Dream.”

What did you think of the performance, and do you wish Nick had spoken to her like he did with David Guetta earlier in the night? (We will have a video later in the night.)
