‘America’s Got Talent’: Landon Swank, Anna Graceman rule second semifinal

Who shined this week?

For the second straight week, “America’s Got Talent” delivered one of the most fantastic performance shows we have seen in quite a long time. There are a good many acts who were phenomenal, and the worst disaster this week was a group who had a freak accident with a fire hoop.

This all being said, there were really two acts that still ended up standing out from the crowd:

1. Landon Swank

Usually when you are a magician, this is the point in the competition that you run out of ideas. However, Landon managed to deliver what may be one of the most creative tricks we have seen so far on any season.

Granted, his “Russian Roulette” was in many ways a modified version of a card trick — but in between the sense of danger and the “Bourne Identity” music (which is thrilling even if you don’t like the movie), this was a trick that could be done on a Vegas stage tomorrow.

2. Anna Graceman

Strangely, this performance night really was “Alaska’s Got Talent.” On the same night where the Silhouettes were confusing and Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr. looked a bit more uncomfortable on stage, Anna completely managed to get out of Jackie Evancho’s shadow and prove that she is a fantastic singer in her own right — just to rock music as Jackie is to opera.

This performance was easily her best of the entire competition, and it could place up with Team iLuminate as a potential favorite.

Who did you love the most Tuesday?
