‘Survivor’ alum Rupert Boneham — running for Governor?

Governor Rupert?

Rupert Boneham may have never actually won the game of “Survivor” in three tries, but he may be getting ready to be taking on a completely new sort of race for a more significant title — the Governor of Indiana.

The reality star (best known for his enormous beard) first made the announcement on a brand-new website — and this served as his introduction:

“I have formed an exploratory committee to evaluate becoming a candidate for Governor of Indiana. I hope to make a final decision in the coming weeks, but wanted to take time to discuss my decision with family. friends and the community that has so graciously supported Rupert’s Kids.”

Later reports across multiple platforms announced that Rupert would be running as a Libertarian — which would keep him from having to compete with as many other candidates in the same party as other people. (Then again, it also makes his odds of also winning the election much lower — as with any third-party candidate.)

Even though millions did vote for Rupert to receive a million dollars as a fan favorite, do you think anyone would vote for the guy to win an election?
