What I like to see in next seasons, is more of the survival aspect of the game. There is no more the role of the provider in the tribe. I liked a lot when an underdog player saved the day by catching a big fish or something like that.

Why not: survivor hardcore/crash, where players only had the remains of a plain or a boat, no food (rice, beans, etc...), and no tools.

And the players, must built a raft and go to a little island 15 mph into see, whore the ones making to the merge or something like that.

I would like to see a season where a nice person can win. Real relationships are formed but it's still a game and everything rests on that premise. Yet somehow Dawn was villified for forming a deeper relationship and then playing it. In that sense she did so well at Survivor that even Jeff Probst basically castigated her on the reunion show for playing the game instead of honoring what he asserted somehow transcended the game? Does that not make that action of of the best Survivor blindsides, if not the best ever? Dawn's game play didn't get anything near the credit it deserved. She was solely instrumental in several key betrayals whereas Chocran just went along and played the chessmaster while not really doing much. Meanwhile Malcolm takes credit for being the best strategic player, yet he forms and betrays many loose relationships and is never able to form deep friendships to his advantage? Survivor has created it's own paradigms such that it cannot see beyond and has outwitted itself in doing so.

Hello

I think the rest of the cast was not up on stage because of the conflict between Brandon and Phillip. I think they did not want to have the whole cast up there with the exception of Brandon and have to explain why he was not there. I read on one website Brandon was banned from attending. Do your own research, see what you find out.

As for point three I think that survivor has no set merge time. In heros vs villains we saw them merge at 10. Courtney and Coach made the jury and not the merge. In survivor redemption island there was a merge at 12. The numbers came out this time where someone missed the jury and made the merge.

Completely agree with all of the points too. Especially 1.

I agree that it doesn't have to be exactly equal screentime between everyone, however more balance would certainly also add far more to the suspense of possible winners. The 'story arc' edit clearly elminitated so many contestant from being winners, that after Andrea got voted out it was a for sure Cochrane because no one else who remained was getting an edit satisfying for a winner. Even if they did stand a chance, the editing pretty much ruined the suprise for us.

Still thought it was an entertaining season though.

All good suggestions. Survivor used to be the gold standard of reunion shows. Great closure and made every person feel important to the game somehow. Now it's become as pointless as the Big Brother finale. Which is such a shame after watching people every day for 70+ days and the jury system is a joke and the finale is a mess.

Anyway, my suggestion is that Survivor try a season where everyone lives together and there are no set tribes. Then before the first challenge of the "week" have them all draw colored rocks from the bag and get randomly assigned to a "tribe" for the week through the challenges and the vote. This way there would be drama and unpredictability each week plus there wouldn't be the dynamic of one tribe getting the numbers at the merge and everyone coasting until the final 4.

I'll keep an open mind that these favorites vs family dynamics will be interesting becuase it should greate tension of staying true to tribe alliance and family duo.
