‘The X Factor’ UK: Roger Boyd wants to be ‘the next Susan Boyle’

This was a surprise.

Usually when he have a performer literally come out of nowhere to be incredibly on a reality show, we sit around and wonder — could this person be the next Susan Boyle? With Roger Boyd on “The X Factor” Saturday night, we had a rather different situation — they guy made the comparisons to Susan before anyone else could.

Before he came out on stage, this had all the makings of a car crash. The guy had a bit of an odd look about him, and sounded incredibly delusional when he said that he could someday be on Susan’s level when it comes to selling records. While this guy is still not likely to be on that level when it comes to international success, he did prove himself to be a pretty powerful singer with his take on Meat Loaf’s “I’d Do Anything for Love.” Not very many people can sing Meat Loaf, but at the same time the question seems to be moving forward if there is any other music that Boyd can do.

What did you think about this audition, and do you think there is any way Roger will have anywhere near the success of Susan?
