‘All-Star Celebrity Apprentice’ review: Gary Busey’s mechanical dog … enough said
We really don’t even want to get into any details about the specific task on “All-Star Celebrity Apprentice” Sunday night … mostly because we don’t want to bury the lead here. Gary Busey’s mechanical dog may be the single greatest “Celebrity Apprentice” time-waster since he tried to tell a story about a boy and his kite years ago in the middle of talking about Omaha Steaks.
Sometimes, Gary comes up with an idea, and it somehow ends up being so creative and brilliant that it sets executives’ minds on fire. On this particular occasion, he came up with something so bizarre that no one knew what to do with it. It didn’t have to do with the LG products they were selling, nor did it have to do with a viral video. Plus, his bark didn’t even sound like a bark! The fact that Gary was so smug and proud of this idea made it even more hysterical, almost like he was digging his own grave. He said it was his responsibility, but it was teammates’ fault for not supporting him.
It was clear from the moment that Gary accepted the role as PM that he was going to be fired this week, mostly because of the fact that while he may be entertaining, he simply does not have the record on this show to make it to the finale. Plus, he’s pretty lucky that he had Stephen Baldwin to throw under the bus earlier on in the season. Lisa Rinna and Penn Jillette were no easy pushovers this week, no matter how much he contradicted himself or claimed he was abandoned.
No that Gary is no longer in the game, the competition is going to heat up. All of the competitors left are strong, and are capable of going into the final four. At this point, that makes for a pretty exciting endgame, no?
What did you think about the mechanical dog idea, and was this really Gary’s time to go? If you want to see where we ranked the contestants prior to this episode, be sure to hit up the link here.

I really hope that Gary was faking his actions tonight, cuz, if not…. We are going to be seeing more of him as he descends into madness! He truly acted totally insane tonight! Maybe he was acting to be recognized ? Maybe?

The mechanical dog thing was so great, I was very entertained. I found it very funny, but I think the commercial was genuinely better than the other team’s. In this day and age with technology, any given brand name will have multiple competitors offering the same product under their brand name. So I think when it comes to advertising, it’s more important to make the audience like your brand than to like your version of the latest product. Having something unexpected and funny accomplishes that more than the over-done “family enjoying a product” bit.

Gary needs to be put in an institute with researchers to be shipped to another planet, where he can be studied. Cause what the @%## is he?
