Susan Boyle posts new message about ‘America’s Got Talent’ gig

The performance is days away.

As we wrote earlier this week, Susan Boyle is going to be coming on board “America’s Got Talent” August 31 for her first live performance on the show since belting out “Wild Horses” back in 2009. Her choice of song this time is “You Have To Be There,” which is a recording that we have yet to hear from Susan thus far. It’s possible that it is a remake, or it could be something altogether new entirely.

Boyle suggests in a new post on Facebook that she will be performing a “new song,” but there is still the possibility that some would consider a remake to be a “new song” since it is a new interpretation, vision, and performance. With this in mind, let’s just focus on what Boyle had to say:

“Had a busy week, back in the recording studio putting the finishing touches to my album and also preparing for my upcoming trip to Los Angeles. Look forward to seeing my fans at America’s Got Talent, hope you like the new song I have chosen to perform.”

Susan was in New York at this point last week, and has been a bit of a frequent traveler as of late as she wraps up what will be her third studio release. We don’t have any confirmed date as of yet for the album to come out, but it appears to be following the same sort of trajectory of both “I Dreamed a Dream” and “The Gift” — which suggests that a November arrival in stores is likely (just in time for the holiday season).

What other shows are you hoping Susan will be on moving forward?
