We know Joe is the author of the book of which “the Final Chapter” is the last chapter. Unless Joe writes his own death in the final chapter he still will be alive. In other words, Joe is in control of who will live or die in the final chapter.

Long-time Purefoy fans are ecstatic to have him on this show. Take Purefoy out of the picture and there will be a HUGE drop in ratings. Lots of ways to take his character, even if for just one more season.
