‘Survivor: South Pacific’: new details concerning Brandon Hantz

Trouble right away…

In Thursday’s newest batch of “Survivor: South Pacific” news, we have a few minor updates when it comes to the game — and how a tattoo could actually completely destroy the chances of one contestant to play a given strategy.

The Brandon crisis

Yes, the season has not even begun, and we’re talking about a Hantz — but this time, there is a good reason for it.

It’s no real secret to anyone that Russel’s nephew Brandon is on this season, but we found out some surprising information early on in that he actually wasn’t interested in revealing his last name to anyone — largely for the sake of not having a major target on his back.

However, there is a problem — E! News is claiming that Hantz actually has a tattoo of his last name on his arm, and that for the time being he was trying to hide it from everyone else around camp. (However, it’s hard to see that lasting for a full 39 days.)

Another new preview

We haven’t seen a ton in the way of video footage thus far, but show host Jeff Probst has some new comments in a new chat with “Entertainment Tonight.” To hear some basic impressions of the new cast (along with how he feels that John Cochran is going to be the master of “play-by-play” throughout the whole season), just take a look below.

How long do you think Brandon is going to get away with this strategy of hiding his last name?
