ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 2 spoilers: The secret for Emily, Daniel revealed

Yesterday, we posted a teaser about how the last episode of “Revenge” prior to the two-hour finale was going to be (spoiler alert!) titled “Engagement,” and we now have something even juicier to go along with it: some scoop via an ABC press release that tells us just who this engagement is going to revolve around. Want to be even remotely surprised when the episode airs? If so, it is probably in your best interest that you stop reading now.

As it turns out, this episode is going to give you a serious feeling of deja vu. For the second time and two seasons, Daniel Grayson and Emily Thorne are going to be on their way towards marriage, though once again there are probably also questions as to how genuine it really is.

Of course, to make matters worse there is also another wrinkle to it in that Emily’s “real” boyfriend is Aiden, and at a certain point, he is surely going to start to feel jealous and/or left out about this whole charade.

“Emily plots her next move in her new role as Daniel’s fiancée, while Aiden struggles with the re-engagement. Meanwhile, Jack learns more than he bargained for, and desperate times call for desperate measures as Conrad’s gubernatorial numbers slip after Victoria’s big reveal on ‘Nightline,'”

If a wedding between Emily and Daniel really happens, we have to imagine that it would take place prior to the end of the season unless the writers really want to torture us. Speaking of tortured, the person that we are sure is really going to feel the ramifications of this move is Victoria, who probably cringes at the mere thought of calling Ms. Thorne “daughter-in-law.”
