To me, the conversation Kate had with Meredith is the one that is going to be be in the forefront of her mind when looking at her future with Castle. Meredith may have cheated on Castle which hastened the break up but the question is WHY?

Were there some genuine reasons, as she outlined to Kate in their conversation, or is she just being her usual manipuling self to keep one foot in the door with Castle for the odd ‘Top Ten’ moments?

It will be interesting to see how it all pans out. I would like to think however that Kate will not take Meredith too seriously and that she and Castle will be able to move forward in a positive way. There are always bumps in relationships and with these two, there could be quite a few before realising that they are really meant to be together.

I love the show for everything it brings, the crime solving, the fun, the romance and the drama and I sincerely hope that it gets a renewal. Bring on Season 6.

I agree…Castle had physical custody…how often does a father get physical custody over the mother? He has even referred to Merideth as more of an Aunt than a mother. Alexis has even gone to Kate for advice.
Remember – at the end of that episode Alexis wanted her mother to leave as much as everyone else. Alexis did not mind Kate there. Also, Rick and Kate have know each other for 5 yrs. probably longer than he knew both ex-wives combined before the divorce. Rick waited for Kate to be ready and Kate went to therapy for him so that they could have a relationship. They can make a marriage work. I hope that AWM does not break up Caskett.

Why does it seem wveryone has forgotten that Merideth was the one who cheated and left Rick? She may have said to Beckett those things, but Merideth was the cheatin’ cheater here. Rick was the reliable father that tuck it out to raise Alexis! And despite his antics, Rick has a heart of gold, loves those in his life without reservation, and has been there for Kate forever! Why would Kate question him now? Seems a bit strange to me…
