Alec and Peter should have kept the shield as a “secret” alliance. They should have both played on opposite sides of the house, which was what I thought they were going to do earlier in the season. Obviously everyone caught on pretty quickly that they were best buds and now look at where they are. Peter might be able to get passed next week but his chances of final 2 are highly unlikely.

I had high hopes for Alec as well and so this decision to quit the POV comp comes as a major disappointment. I think he was trying to protect Peter but to flat out quit? He would’ve won that comp and I’m comvinced the others could’ve been persuaded to keep Peter over Topaz. The Shield could’ve been really epic but alas…too many poor decisions on Alec’s part.

That veto comp is one that should have been completed successfully in less than five minutes. I was astounded by how poorly the house did. I cannot understand what Alec is trying to accomplish either.
