Joe Jonas has been enjoying his solo career, but now that he is not with his brothers, fans are beginning to dig deeper into the meaning behind his lyrics and are wondering who they are written about.
Joe has never been one to kiss and tell, but he has said that his new single called ‘Love Slayer’ is not about his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift. Joe explains;
“No. That’s not about her. When I write songs, I don’t say who they are about because I don’t want the audience to relate to what was going on with me when I wrote it. You say one thing and it becomes a rumor.”
Jonas became a little infamous after he dumped Taylor during a 27 second phone call in 2008. Swift later opened up about the breakup and said;
“It’s alright, I’m cool. You know what it’s like, when I find that person that is right for me, he’ll be wonderful. … When I look at that person, I’m not even going to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18. … I looked at the call log —- it was like 27 seconds. That’s got to be a record.”
Unlike Joe, Taylor feels that all ex boyfriends and bad break ups are fair game for her to sing about. She has said; “If you don’t want me to write bad songs about you, then don’t do bad things.”
