‘Britain’s Got Talent’: Janey Cutler passes away; Amanda Holden pregnant

Here’s the latest updates.

We have a couple of stories out Wednesday pertaining to “Britain’s Got Talent” — however, one could not be more different than the other.

Rest in Peace, Janey Cutler

We start with what is some terribly sad news — Janey Cutler, the great-grandmother who became famous during the 2010 season (and drew some hyperbolic comparisons to Susan Boyle), has passed away at the age of 82. Following her time on the show last year, she had went on tour and even recorded an album — and one of her children is now saying (per the Daily Record) that they did not see this passing coming:

“Mum was the light of our lives. We were all devastated because we weren’t expecting it … She was always very happy and healthy and very rarely got ill.”

Baby news for Amanda Holden

On the opposite side of the spectrum, show judge Amanda Holden is expecting her second child with husband Chris Hughes. Here is what she wrote about the pregnancy on her website:

“Chris, [daughter] Lexi and I are delighted to announce that I am pregnant and we are expecting a little girl.”

This news comes after a rather tragic time for Holden that included a miscarriage seven months into her previous pregnancy. In order to avoid any excess risks on this occasion, she will be stepping down from “Shrek: The Musical” eight weeks earlier than planned in October.
