For this latest batch of “Dancing with the Stars” scoop, we turn to a pair of names that have been getting some interest when it comes to the fall 2011 season — one as a person who producers want, and another as a person who has been begging for a chance.
We begin first with Chaz Bono, who Us Weekly is reporting is a major target for the show at the moment. If this happens, Bono would be the first transgender contestant ever on the show. (“Dancing” has been a bit lacking in the GLBT casting pool over the years — with Lance Bass being the primary exception from the past.) Unfortunately, there’s not word at the moment as to whether or not Chaz is actually interested in coming on board the show.
Next, we turn to Teresa Giudice. We wrote previously that the reality star was interested in the show, but that producers really weren’t looking for a “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star this season. Even though there are reports that she was practically “begging” to be on the show, producers do not seem altogether willing to budge from their plan. When it comes to reality stars, the show seems to be focusing their attention more on Rob Kardashian and Kristin Cavallari (who are pretty close to being confirmed at this point).
What do you think about Chaz potentially coming on the show?
