‘Glee’ season 4: Heather Morris reportedly pregnant; could this change show?

GleeMrs. Carter: Are we about to see a completely different storyline coming up for Brittany S. Pierce?

This is turning out to be quite the surprising week when it comes to the “Glee” cast and what is happening with them away from the show. First, we had the announcement that Cory Monteith (Finn) will miss the final two episodes of the season as he enters a treatment facility for substance abuse problems; and now, Us Weekly is reporting that Heather Morris (Brittany) is expecting her first child with her boyfriend of several years in Taylor Hubbell. The report claims that she is three months along, and her pregnancy is just starting to show.

Of course, it’s hard to feel anything other than joy for the actress, who is getting the opportunity now to embark on what could be a pretty exciting time in her life. At the same time, you do also wonder what “Glee” is going to decide to do about this. The good news is that Brittany will probably graduate this year, which means that the show will not have to worry so much about her baby bump showing through a tiny cheerleading uniform if they don’t want to include a pregnancy into her story. (The only possible father right now is her current boyfriend Sam Evans.)

First of all, we have to wait for verification on whether or not the pregnancy rumor is true, and the second part of this equation is seeing what will happen to Brittany on “Glee.” Whatever it is, Morris would likely be good for a good chunk of season 5 on maternity leave, since she would not be giving birth until around October, which is deep in the middle of production.
