The entire setup was perfect. The Charlie’s Angels pose was great (although I wonder if it would have been even better with Beckett in the middle?). Alexis and Castle eating popcorn like they were watching a movie was really funny. And the gorgeous Kate Beckett when she was dressed for dinner… Castle’s shock at the party reveal was genuine; Kate’s fear that she had overdone it was real; and the joy of the moment was touching. Outstanding. I hope that this episode will give the series the attention that it deserves. (And once again, the producers of the show must be overjoyed at hiring Stana Katic. She is severely underrated. Her performance(s) is outstanding; her straightman delivery; comedic timing; posture; voice; beauty: all fantastic. Someday, it would be great to see her in a soul searching movie with Meryl Streep – two powerhouse actresses).
