‘Glee’ season 2 star Chord Overstreet moves on to ‘The Middle’

Back in the classroom.

We now officially know what Chord Overstreet’s next job is going to be now that he has decided to not stay on board “Glee” for its third season. Ironically, he is set to go from playing a student to becoming a teacher.

ABC has announced that the actor will be jumping on board “The Middle” for an episode airing September 28 as a fourth-grade teacher who chooses to utilize some rather “innovative” teaching methods — ones that Patricia Heaton’s character of Frankie does not exactly agree with.

This episode will come just one week after the hit sitcom airs its one-hour season 3 premiere, which will feature a guest spot by Heaton’s former “Everybody Loves Raymond” co-star Ray Romano.

Are you excited to see Chord coming back to TV so soon, or are you still disappointed that his character of Sam Evans is not going to be around McKinley High any more?
