Sometimes, you can never emphasize enough just how important it is to bond on a superficial level with some of your fellow houseguests in “Big Brother” — while it may not seem like much at first, finding common ground can play a key role in what happens later on.
(Warning: the following contains spoilers.)
With that in mind, we can at least say that Shelly and Rachel are now doing a good job at trying to save face on Tuesday morning. The two literally engaged in an hour-long conversation about sororities, which showed them that they do have something major in common despite all of their differences. It also gave some insight into both Rachel and Shelly’s past, why they act the way they do, and who some of their friends were growing up. The best part? There wasn’t a single mention of Brendon at all.
As for what becomes of this conversation, it’s hard to say. While it may not cause Shelly and Rachel to be best friends forever, it could enable Shelly to have some more trust that Kalia and Porsche would be Rachel’s targets if she was to win Head of Household rather than her. (For much of the past week, Shelly has said that Rachel would put her on the block.) This conversation also shows that Shelly is looking to the future if she chooses to evict Daniele, which right now seems to be the consensus pick for what is going to happen.
Do you think it is fair to really read anything into this conversation?
