ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 2, episode 18 preview: Bring on the ‘Masquerade’

RevengeThere are some things when it comes to “Revenge” right now that don’t make sense, with the primary one being the utterly bizarre decision by ABC to air the next new episode “Masquerade” on a week that does not contain a new “Once Upon a Time.” When we saw that the series was going to have a two-hour finale, we thought that this was going to be how they ultimately chose to make up the repeat that they aired earlier this month. However, we don’t know now what the network is doing, except for maybe confusing audiences and causing this show to suffer without a lead-in.

The one bit of good news that we have to share right now is that this episode certainly looks like an interesting one. This is the one that is set around Halloween time, and it feature everything from Charlotte punching someone to fancy costumes to of course more than a few surprises. Check out the official decision below courtesy of the network:

“Hamptonites celebrate Halloween with a glamorous masquerade ball hosted by the Graysons, which is a perfect setting for Emily to drag out Victoria’s skeletons. Jack steps up his revenge plan and finds an unexpected ally, and Aiden makes a bold move with a gruesome conclusion.”

Just the words “gruesome conclusion” here have to be enough to make you shudder a little bit; while there have been some pretty nasty moments on the show already, they are certainly more to come. Aiden may also be a man possessed now more than ever, as Nolan largely blames him for what has happened both with Padma and for getting completely on the ropes and at the mercy of Falcon.

What do you want to see happen next week, and are you confused by ABC’s decision to air this episode without a lead-in? If you want to read our full review of this past new episode, you can do so over at the link here.
