I love the series and the comics because it’s about humanity. How do we survive as humans in a hostile environment, stripped of all the structure and comforts we’ve grown used to? How do people react? The best and the worst is brought out of the characters through extreme circumstances. That’s what got me hooked on the show. Then, admittedly, I discovered Norman Reedus on the show and became a fan, because he plays a great character and plays it very well. But my love for The Walking Dead predated my love for Norman Reedus. You could say The Walking Dead drew me to Reedus, not the other way around!
