‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: Jessica Sanchez talks role, love for Naya Rivera

Jessica SanchezThis is turning out to be quite a week for one Jessica Sanchez. Her new single “Tonight” featuring Ne-Yo is getting some rave reviews across the internet, she performed on her old show in “American Idol” Thursday night, and she is now getting set to film a two-episode arc on “Glee” leading up to the season finale in May. While the basic outline of her role (a vocal powerhouse who leads a rival glee club) is not particularly revolutionary, the teenage singer admits that she is not afraid of taking some big risks with the part.

As a matter of fact, Sanchez had the following to say to The Hollywood Reporter when asked about just what she wants to do with this part in order to make it stand out from some others:

“I’m all about risque — I love that stuff. I love to be creative — that’s what the entertainment business is about. You have to be out there sometimes, and Glee is so colorful and unexpected with everything. I’m really excited to see what they have planned for those episodes.”

In case you were wondering if there was anyone in particular that Sanchez is looking forward to meeting, she makes it clear that she is certainly a rather enormous fan of Santana:

“I love me some Santana, she’s amazing. I can’t wait to meet her. I hope I get to.”

Jessica’s arc on “Glee” has actually been public knowledge since last summer, but for a variety of reasons (including the “American Idol” tour, her being in the recording studio, and the show finding the right use for her), it took a while for the producers to give her the call in order to film. The best thing about these episodes for her is that they will be released in early May, which is right around when her debut album “Me, You, & the Music” hits stores.

What do you want to see happen with Sanchez on the show? Be sure to share your thoughts below, and you can also head over to the link here if you want to read some more “Glee” news on someone else in Cory Monteith.
