My comment was misunderstood. I wasnt suggesting bullying was right, nor do I think it is, not at all, what I was saying the time the producers gave it on air, and they way it was dramatized by Alec, was ridiculous. Lots of stuff goes on in the house after hours, and only a selective portion of it is even aired, depending what is good "show." All the guests sign waivers when they enter the house, and it is all fair game, for each houseguest. The term bully was first mentioned by a houseguest...my point strictly was it is all a game, with many aspects to it, and the fact so much air time last week was given to that one incident, was what was ridiculous. The Producers should take some responsibility for airing it on the taped broadcast, and not to have drawn so much attention or allowed as much diary room talk that was aired, which is exactly what happened.

Kate,

First off, bullying is an issue that affects people regardless of age. It is completely ignorant and unsympathetic of you to consider bullying "absolutely ridiculous" in the case of adults. Media generally focuses on bullying surrounding children because it is of concern in child development and confidence, and approaching bullying at a young age is effective at diminishing bullying in adults. But that is not to say that it is not a serious concern for adults that plagues people on a daily basis. If anything this highlights bullying in adults as a problem, and your thought process illustrates how accepted it has become. You can't tell me that it is unreasonable that he is upset that he was exposed on national television when the guidelines of the show clearly state that no footage taken in the showers or toilet will be televised. Yes the show is about people scheming to win a big prize, in what way does scheming include houseguests exposing your private areas on television?
Second of all, how on earth can you classify Tom opening that shower door as "psychological play". Do you think that that was a strategic move to intimidate Alec? When Alec held the power of veto that could have saved him? Obviously it didn't work since he has been dominating the game since. Tom was thoughtless in his action. He is an impulsive person, and that led to his demise in the game.
Thirdly, Alec has a professional position outside of this game. Like he said, it takes one freeze frame to expose him to the world and that could affect his professional career. I just hope no one saw and his privacy is kept.
Alec is genuinely a wonderful person, as I'm sure many people in the house are. You are entitled to your own opinion about the guests, but you should really think more empathetically about this situation.

Oh my gosh. I can't even believe what I've read in Kate's comment. What happened to Alec in the shower was wrong. If it was a girl in the shower and Tom did it to her, it would be grounds for sexual assault. It's wrong what happened to him, and it was bullying. Good for Alec to verbalize what he was feeling. You're disgusting Kate to just sweep it under the covers and be all, "it's a game, get used to it." Well I guess if it's a game, they should let people get into physical altercations because they just get so heated and have to let it out some way...oh wait that did happen last year in the States and wait...it's against the rules. Bullies exist at every age. Hence why there's a bullying law for workplaces now. Maybe take a look at your own personal life. Because I'm kinda feeling you might be the bully for people around you.

Im disappointed Alex actually won the HOH. His diary room chatter on eviction night, with regard to being "exposed" in the shower was way over dramatized. They all know there are cameras and After Dark for viewers. Granted, Tom shouldnt have done it, but he did, and so what? Alec's attempt to make viewers feel more hatred for Tom was pathetic, and considering his own attitude it was an unworthy attempt to look good to viewers. He acted like a little child! Big Brother is a game, and people come there with an agenda and to scheme to win the big prize, and do what they must to try and get themself further in the game. To bring up the term "bullying" in the diary room, was shallow of him, considering what Big Brother is all about. The producers even allowing so much focus on the term "bullying" in diaray room feeds, they should be ashamed as well, as "real life bullying" is not accepted. Alec is not a child, but a grown man, and to use a term such as bullying was absolutely ridiculous and shouldnt have been given the air time to air it. It's a game, if he cant take the threat of social and physical play, as well as psychological, he should not have auditioned. This is one person I hope doesnt make it to the end.
