With the news breaking yesterday that “The Real Housewives of New York City” delayed production on season 5, there is really only one thing left for us to do — sit around and speculate who exactly is going to end up staying on board the cast, and who is going to be sent packing.
According to one report, Cindy Barshop’s fate has already been set in stone — and she is not going to come back. She was one of the newest housewives of the show, but for some reason her storyline as a single mom and successful businesswoman never really seemed to work. Her drama didn’t always feel authentic, and her relationships with her co-stars were often strained.
So if this turns out to be true — and all of the other stars all stick around — it’s theoretically possible that we could end up going back to a lineup of just six ladies. “New York City” has more official cast members than any other installment in the franchise, and it could benefit from narrowing the focus down to some of the women (such as Ramona Singer and Jill Zarin) who we are already invested in at this point.
If Cindy leaves, are you going to end up missing her at all?
