I totally agree with Alicia, Susan, Denise, Meme and Crabapple! Mellie is only interested in being First Lady – being in the White House was her goal. If she could be President – she’d kick Fitz to the side in a second! There was trouble in that marriage long before Liv came on the scene. And if I remember correctly – didn’t Mellie have an affair? What happened with that? I would like to see her in an affair of her own – it would be in keeping with her character.

If you watch the show you can tell that Mellie and Fitz have no chemistry and their marriage was dead before Olivia showed up. SHe’s the one who helped “fix” their marriage to the public. It’s a show not reality. I am not for adultery in real life but this a make believe made up show. Mellie will never win him back. #TeamOlitz

First of all, Simone take several seats. If you have been watching Scandal from the beginning then you would know Fitz and Mellie’s marriage was unhappy long before Olivia came into the picture. Fitz pursued Olivia and is obsessed with her. Mellie needs to get Fitz and not Olivia.

I for one am a huge fan of Olivia and Fitz as a couple. I believe those two belong together. They have a love that can not be denied. But if we go back to see Fitz and Mellie’s back story I’ll bet we’ll find that they were never really in love. I think Mellie, (knowing that Fitz was the son of a self made man and politician) saw the potential in Fitz when she first met him. And being the manipulative b*&tch that she is found away to manipulate Fitz into marrying her. She probably got pregnant just to get him down the aisle.

Come onSimone, have you watched Scandal from the beginning, Fitz ans Mellie were over before Olivia was on the scene! What Fitz and Olivia have is a love so deep, Mellie just wants to be in the White House, she is just trying to stop the divorce, she had her baby induced a month early, I can can go on, but really Team OLITZ!!!!!!! I am!

I believe Fitz did love Mellie at one time. But, Mellie wasn’t in love with him. He was the ticket to her agenda. If you have children it don’t take love to get them. Don’t you remember how Mellie told Fitz I hadddd kidddddddds for you?. There was an agenda. Don’t you remember how she said, ” his father was a monster?” But, when his father was on the campaign trip she couldn’t get enuf of him. Why are you blaming Olivia for their unhappy marriage; typical thing people do blame the other party instead of where the blame should be on their spouse? I’m starting not to like Olivia but, right is right. She never went looking for Fitz he did the chasing, she always tried to sent him back to Mellie. Mellie just can’t hold onto him because he doesn’t love her anymore. This was before Olivia was even in the picture. Stop blaming Olivia for Mellie’s marriage screw ups. Mellie don’t need any help she does find all by herself

I’m so looking forward to Mellie releasing her wrath on Olivia and winning her husband back. I Fitz is like all married men who have a mistress, so I hope we get a flash back to Fitz and Mellie being happy. It’s inconceivable to think Fitz never loved her, for crying out loud they have two children.
