‘Glee’ season 4, episode 17 preview: Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz talk ABBA

Kevin McHaleYou can’t really have an episode all about “Guilty Pleasures” without including at least one performance of an ABBA hit, and this is precisely what the producers of “Glee” were going for leading up to the grand debut of this episode on Thursday night. “Mamma Mia!” is going to be one of the crazier performances of the season, and based on the sneak peek video below, just about everyone had a great time shooting it.

More than anything else, series stars Kevin McHale (Artie), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina), and Becca Tobin (Kitty) seem to be interested in stressing one thing: the costumes that they are wearing for this performance are completely ridiculous. There will be white and gold, hula hoops, funny hair, and guys showing off their chest muscles. This will also be one of the show’s most ambitious performances, with it alternating between the world of the Big Apple and what is happening back at McKinley High.

Ultimately, there are going to be some story developments to go along with some of the silliness during this hour: we will find out just what is going to happen with Rachel and Brody after Finn threatened him in a hotel room, and we are also going to see conflict for Jake and Marley and how Will moves forward with New Directions now that he is squarely in charge. (Sadly, this means that Finn is more or less floating around again trying to find his purpose.)

What do you want to see happen in this episode? If you want to read a little bit more about what Darren Criss’ Blaine is going to be doing in order to get himself in an awkward situation this week, you can do so by heading on over to the link here.
