Well, the answer here is “not exactly.” However, the host of “The X Factor” proved himself to have quite a sense of humor this week by taking part in an absolutely brilliant Comic Relief sketch that was really all about him having a wedding … with himself as a group. It was extremely weird, completely random, but probably a delight to anyone who enjoys watching British talent competitions. (If you don’t want to know anything else about the video without watching it, skip over the next few paragraphs and just watch it below.)
The music mogul managed to find quite a few big names to attend his grand ceremony, and they included the likes of Walliams, Olly Murs, “The X Factor” host Dermot O’Leary, ex-girlfriend and longtime friend Sinnita, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh, “Britain’s Got Talent” champions Ashleigh & Pudsey, Paul Potts, Rylan Clark (who does a great job emulating a key moment in “The X Factor” this past season), Caroline Flack, and even the hilarious Showbears that Walliams loved and wanted to join. Of course, the video saves the biggest surprise of the entire video for the end: just who is the bride. As it turns out, Simon was actually marrying himself. Is anyone really surprised about this at all? They shouldn’t be.
Comic Relief is a key fundraiser in Britain to support those who are truly in need around the globe, and it’s fantastic to not only see Simon, but all of the people involved here, have such a fantastic sense of humor in order to help some people who are in dire need of support.
