It’s not secret that the “American Idol” host is a man with many jobs: he serves as a red-carpet correspondent for E!, an occasional reporter for “The Today Show,” a radio talk-show host, and a guy who has taken the place of one Dick Clark as the king of New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately, he is also now a man without a girlfriend as we have what has to be some of the saddest relationship news we’ve heard in quite a while.
According to a new report from People Magazine, Seacrest and former “Dancing with the Stars” judge-turned country singer / actress Julianne Hough have split after two years of dating, with the primary reason for it being that the two simply had too much going on in their lives, and they eventually grew apart. Hough has been promoting “Safe Haven” extensively as of late, while Ryan has been firmly rooted in Los Angeles tackling awards season along with the hit Fox singing competition.
The saddest thing about this split is really how it seemingly came out of left field. Seacrest was saying all sorts of positive things about Hough throughout the last year, and there were even hints here and there that he was thinking about proposing soon. Dating has not always been easy for Seacrest, as he is a guy who does put a great deal into his work and has often had to deal with preconceived notions about him.
Neither Hough nor Seacrest have commented on this story at this time.
Are you sad to hear that these two couldn’t find a way to make it work? If you want to see what the theme for next week’s “American Idol” is going to be, you can do so over at the link here.
