‘The Vampire Diaries’: Candice Accola not expecting more musical moments

Any more songs?

If you look back at season two of “The Vampire Diaries,” one of the more unique moments for the show came when Candice Accola’s character of Caroline chose to serenade a special someone (in Matt) with a rousing rendition of the song “Eternal Flame” while at the Mystic Grill. It was an unplanned moment for the character, but really ended up being one of the sweetest showcases of romance that we saw over the course of the entire 22 episodes.

So will wee any more of that moving forward? Don’t count on it. Speaking to Digital Spy in an interview, Accola (who has in the past worked as a backup singer) says that her days of belting out tunes as Caroline are probably already done:

“I don’t think they have any intention of making this a musical show, and I think it was very circumstantial for the scene … it was such a sweet moment, but it [is] not going to be a regular thing.”

Season 3 of “TVD” is set to premiere on September 15, and we can already say that for Caroline, she will be moving on with a new love interest (in Tyler Lockwood) to go along with a new rival in Becky — a vampire who has some sort of a past with Stefan.

What would you give to have another Caroline song performance on the show?
