If you are quite the fan of Kermit the Frog, then Disney likely made you a rather happy camping this weekend. During the presentation for the grand return of “The Muppets” on November 23, Jim Henson’s signature character made an appearance alongside popular hound Rowlf to perform one of the most famous Muppet songs of all — “The Rainbow Connection.”
The new “Muppet” movie has been in many ways the brainchild of its star Jason Segel — a man who has obsessed over the characters since he was a child, and seems to be taking advantage of the opportunity to now revive the series back to its heyday, when it was about clever humor for all ages — and not just for small children.
In addition to Segel, “The Muppets” is set to have all sorts of A-list cameos from the likes of Emily Blunt, Mila Kunis, Billy Crystal, and Jason’s “How I Met Your Mother” co-star Neil Patrick Harris.
Considering how rich a history the Muppets have on TV and film (not to mention how much they have touched our hearts and made us roll on the floor with laughter), are your expectations high for this movie?
