I’m ambivalent about Megan Draper. During season 5, there were times I thought she was a breath of fresh air on the show, but then there were times when I found her whiny, spoiled, and manipulative (especially when she kind of screwed over that actress friend of hers in the finale). And while I do think Don and Megan love each other, I find it hard to believe that Don could change that much and that permanently for or because of her. If nothing else, it just doesn’t make for very interesting TV.

I love Megan, she brings some freshness to the era. I love her outfits and the music she is introducing to Don. Don is breaking out of the dominating 50-60s sterio type hubby and getting into the decade of the early sixties. Can’t wait to see what positives happen because of her!

I like Don’s reaction to the Megan character. However, I do NOT like that Betty has to be portrayed as overweight to point out how jealous she is of Megan. Betty is (was) a beautiful woman, and a sudden weight problem is too easy an “out” to show why she is unhappy or jealous without Don.

I would like Megan if she didn’t take up so much screen time. I hope she’s in season six much less than she was in season five.

I want to like Megan but I can’t. compared to the other characters on this show, she’s boring. Maybe it’s because I liked Don with Faye and was posses that he cheated on her with Megan. It maybe its because I miss Don and Betty together. I dunno, but I’m bored with her.
