I also would like to see both of them live in the same city (NYC), not necessarily go to the same campus but nearby campuses, and maybe live in the same apartment building (if not room mate) or maybe at least live in a couple of blocks away from each other in regards that they are best of best friends again in NYC so they will have keys to each other’s apartment and may come and go as they wish to one another’s apartment (yeah, that close!).
That arrangement would make the plot and storyline easier to develop and process, and still connect them to one another although they may not necessarily be together as a couple in the beginning.
The story can branch out to so many possible events.
I agree that they need to get back to the point of friendship or best friends to accustom to each other again. They need to experience more, by which it will duly and eventually grow them to be matured men who can be fully aware of their needs and wants. So, by the time they decide to be together as a couple again, the relationship ahead of that decision will be very strong and unbreakable even by very long distance. (admit it, career as stage performers and/or musician will always require you to travel a LOT..!)
I personally think that shall the plot be like that, it will definitely be a very,very good example of how people should manage their long distance relationship with their significant other, to develop and keep mutual trust and understanding, and of course to cherish each other’s reliability in regards of feeling and commitments.
I also think it’s very important that each of them takes off to their career and dreams in a spectacular way (after all, it’s NYC).
This story of success and dreams of underdogs become powerful men, will be a great example to all teens and adults all over the world.
This is especially for Kurt, because Kurt is the one whose storyline we closely and intensely follow from the beginning of the show, and also have touched viewers’ heart so deeply, all his suffering during high school, etc. Not underestimating Blaine, but we never actually see Blaine suffering as much as Kurt.
So it will be a true climax of the show if Kurt can reach ultimate success as a payoff of all what he had been through during his teen.
(bullied, underestimated, assaulted, cheated, etc).
It’s much better if Blaine stays as a part of Kurt’s life all the way, become a shoulder to cry on .. something like that.
That would also be great lesson learned for all people to never cheat on your significant other, to never take people’s trust for granted, and to always make communication work between relationships. Communication is the key to successful relationship, which all couples must undergo within their time together. It’s a challenge all couple must face and overcome in order to move on to higher levels of that relationship.

He needs the chance to discover the difference. I would like to see Blaine date even though he knows he loves Kurt. He should at least meet some one for a coffee or movie. Not all dates have to be about romance. He needs a friend other than Sam and Tina. Someone who will understand his feelings and point of view.
