On Saturday, the long-awaited wedding for Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries is finally going to happen — and there are plenty of significant benefits economically to go along with the pure joy of the day itself.
Despite all sorts of claims that the festivities are going to cost upwards of $20 million, new reports claim that the actual price here is somewhere around $500,000. This is in part thanks to all sorts of free goods given to the bride and groom in order to get them some time in the spotlight — including a wedding gown by Kardashian family friend Vera Wang.
Just how much money will Kim actually make on this wedding? In addition to have the ceremony broadcast on E! this October (which is going to lead to her getting a hefty sum of cash), she has somehow managed to up the price of her wedding photos to People Magazine from $1 million up to $1.5.
Hundreds of guests are expected to be at the Montecito estate for Kim and Kris to tie the knot — and there will also be plenty of security to deal with the hundreds of fans who are likely to end up showing up in the area to catch a glimpse of the bride and groom. (They’re not likely to get it, since that would mean running the risk of getting some photos out prematurely via paparazzi agencies.)
Do you find it crazy that someone can actually make money on their wedding these days?
