Despite the fact that he reportedly walked off the show at one point during taping for “Jersey Shore” season 5 (which is likely set to start airing early next year), Vinny Guadagnino is now claiming that he would go back to enjoy a little bit more of the “GTL” lifestyle.
Speaking in a new interview, not only does the show’s goofiest male cast member say that he would do another season — he thinks that it will end up happening:
“My gut instinct [is that] I think there will probably be another one. But for now, we just did two [seasons] back-to-back that have to air. So right now we’re just gonna chill, watch what happens with that, work on my side projects … and in the future, if they want to do another season, I will.”
Granted, it would be hard for anyone to walk away from a salary that is reportedly set at $100,000 an episode. Since he wouldn’t be the show all by himself, though, Vinny would have to count on Mike “The Situation,” Pauly D, and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi all signing on, among others. (The Situation has already said he is unsure if he would do another season, and a good many cast members now have deals on spin-off shows.)
So far, the “Shore” ratings certainly justify another year — with around 7.8 million viewers tuning in to Thursday’s episode, it was the sixth-most-watched episode ever of the series (and second-most outside of season 3).
How long do you think this show could really last?
