I know he is “quite fond of Amy” but I don’t know what that means yet. Sheldon got Alex to gather some presents but decided to keep the best one himself, after pooh-poohing the others, and didn’t give it to Amy. I remember how Sheldon gets excited about things – like in Season 5 when he got over his fear of birds. The bird delighted him; I think Amy will have to delight him too, if Sheldon is ever going to begin to think about her romantically.
