I’m not sure when but I’m sure he’ll be back for a couple reasons. First, I saw the preview where he was opening the gate as Andrea approached the prison. Second, I remember him saying in an interview that “love blossoms” in season 3; and we all know that he and Carol are just one long look away from admitting it to themselves and to each other they they’re in love. Third, Daryl can’t count on Merle; he’ll find that out the hard way soon enough. And finally, Daryl is just the bad ass of the group; he completes the group and he knows he belongs there.

Oh yeah, Daryl will be back. I have no idea how it will happen, when it will happen or if Merle will be with him, but he will be back.
