Did you see the Season 3 finale? They were VERY coupley at the end montage. On top of that Dan has said that Troy loves Britta and that it was obvious at the end of S3 that they liked each other. And even more on top of that, Dan wrote the very episode that got the Troy/Britta ball rolling: Origins of Vampire Mythology.

The writers and a lot of the actors are a big fan of the Troy/Britta pairing as well.

Agree with all your points. Couldn’t have explained it any better. Hoping the new producers find their own way with this show too without losing ‘the soul’ of the characters but if anything, last night’s show lowered our expectations, it got the Harmon comparisons out of the way, and lastly…maybe it’ll help the producers improve upon what we saw last night.
