Considering that this rumor seemed completely and totally out of left field, it’s hard to see anyone being particularly surprised by the news that Cheryl Cole is not going to be making any sort of appearance on season 3 of “Glee” this coming fall.
Cole’s rep this week firmly squashed any speculation that she would be coming on board, which is an expected move for a variety of reasons:
1, Ryan Murphy has already said that he wants to stay away from guest stars this season.
2. Cole has her own music career to focus on.
3. It’s hard to see how an adult character with a British accent would end up finding her way to Lima, Ohio — which would have made this story a bit harder to execute.
For those of you wanting to see mroe of Cole since her “X Factor” gig did not exactly work out, it is confirmed that she will be making a brief appearance in “What To Expect When You’re Expecting” — an upcoming film with an A-list cast including Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, and many more.
Are you hoping that “Glee” continues to focus more on story over guest stars? As of right now, there has yet to be a big-name actor confirmed for the coming season.
