I agree, I think the sob stories are intended to win the sympathy vote. While i do have empathy for those with some tragedy in their lives, I do not feel hearing about it is necessary to judge their talent. Even though Adam has never made a big to-do about being bullied for being gay, I’m sure he had his share. Adam has always chosen to remain positive and push the negative into the background.

The sob story element of these talent shows is one of the main reasons I’ve never watched them. Adam Lambert is the only reality show contestant I’ve ever been seriously interested in and that was partly because he NEVER had a sob story, never tried to make people sorry for him in any way, the worse thing he claimed was that it is hard making it in Hollywood, which everyone knows anyway. And the only tears that were shed were by his Mother on the Homecoming trip and she’s entitled to a little weep seeing her son have his dream become a real possibility. That shows real class.

I do not want to hear anything from American Idol this season. This show is dead. I don’t care who the judges are. All I can say is that Adam as a judge would have made the show worth watching. As for Nile Rodgers and Adam…it’s so sad that this single did not make the radio. I wish we could see it on some music awards show this spring but we all know that Adam is a big international star, not in his home country though.
