]]> https://cartermatt.com/48070/downton-abbey-season-4-is-there-darkness-left-in-mr-bates/#comment-89366 Fri, 01 Feb 2013 18:14:11 +0000 http://cartermatt.com/?p=48070#comment-89366 i can definitely see this side of himself coming back to haunt him and anna, perhaps so sort f revenge being wrought by the prisoner or the guard he tangled with while in prison, after their release. the need to do something to cause tension, since the bates /anna storyline is so placid right now (otherwise it wouldn’t be downton abbey). a baby would be nice but there’s already 2–much more likely the dark side of bates wil somehow be made to emerge and he’ll have to deal with it in the context of his marriage to kind and peaceable anna and his reputation as st. bates in the house.
