2011 MTV VMAs: Lady Gaga, Britney Spears videos, Demi Lovato hints

This is shaping up to be quite a show.

If you are excited for the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, we have some rather welcome news for you to dive right into on this Thursday afternoon. Below, you can check out a pair of videos for the August 26 ceremony — each one featuring someone who has meant the world to the network broadcast over the years.

First, we have Britney Spears doing exactly what Britney Spears does. The “I Wanna Go” singer is expecting to be the subject of a tribute, and Demi Lovato has been added to the list of names being involved (which already included the likes of Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, and others).

Meanwhile, we also have a rather risque video that features Lady Gaga playing at the piano. When it comes to Gaga, there really are two options when it comes to performing — tackling her new single “You and I,” or performing in some sort of Amy Winehouse tribute following her tragic passing. (Perez Hilton seems to be hinting at the latter, but this has not been confirmed.
