No more Shirley Maclaine, please. She’s a duck out of water – her acclaim is 40 years old and she needs to be at pasture. I was pleased that she disappeared; I’d rather have imagined Cora’s mother than to see this lousy mockery of Denver’s Molly Brown-type person as Shirley played the role. I’m cheering for Ethel’s recovery from destitution; those were tough days.

Would prefer to see more of Edith and that offer to write a column and what transpires from that – and will Sir Richard Carlisle – Mary’s ex fiance notice Edith’s article He does own several newspapers after all. Also really disappointed that Mathew will no longer be on the show – killing him off means he won’t be back, I guess. Why not just replace him with another interestingly self-contained handsome unknown Brit actor? The maid of false repute (Ethel) has an actor husband in real life who would be perfect.

Oh no – no more Shirley McClain…there were two good scenes – One with Edith crying under the tree and the other refusing more money to help keep their estate. Otherwise she was off kilter with the whole show…a little much.

So sad about Sylvia – tears flowed…. Branson with their baby should stay on the Estate – perhaps in another house on the estate and take charge of the estate’s farms management…

Lord Grantham and Mary are becoming one and the same – time for Lord Grantham to be the next ‘exit’ maybe….If this was a real life Mathew would be taking off with his loot and investing in secure bonds or whatever they had then.

Just my thoughts… Meantime I am loving this series no matter how Julian wraps it up…and not too soon please. :) Thankyou

Disappointed that Matthew meets with tragic accident, I really like his character. I agree that there wasn’t enough of Shirley Mac Laine…

Tonight ‘s death scene was really heavy I had to leave the room!!!
